DBA suppliers in NZ

Postby Mr Ree » Tue Jul 22, 2014 11:29 am

Hi TS'ers,
I was wondering if any members here know of any suppliers, or have any hook ups with DBA brake suppliers?

My current set of front DBA4000 rotors on my A80 finally cried enough at the last round of the Road and Track series, and one of them cracked from the outside edge, right across the rotor to the hub face, so its now a throw away item, and Im looking for new rotors.

I have a couple of spare front pairs at home, OEM, and slotted TRD, but given how well the DBA4000's performed over the 5 years, and the many many track days of abuse that they have been on the car, I think I want to stick with them if I can get them for a fair price.

Any info/heads up appreciated :)

Thank you

I bought my last set of DBA4000's off Racebrakes, but am looking for other options and prices, as they were quite spendy at $300 per rotor.

What type are you looking for?

I'm just after some new rotors - DBA4000's would be great :P (Same as you, JZA80 big brakes)

According to this: http://www.dba.com.au/where-to-buy/

The three NZ suppliers are in Auckland. Racebrakes where you got them from originally, Automotive Supplies NZ Ltd and Exedy NZ.

Thanks for the link. I had already got that info long before posting the thread though hahaha

I never trust supplier links to stockists as they are invariably wrong (like in this instance)

Yes, I heard that through the grapevine too, and also was told that SCA will order them in for people.

Ill give them both a call tomorrow and see what prices they can offer.

The 5000 series look pretty good I wonder how they compare price wise vs say an AP J-Hook rotor.

i want to say dell'orto works for repco in some capacity, but i might be wrong.

anyway retail prices at repco will be eye watering i should imagine, so it'd be hook ups or nothing i reckon
