5 Meg ohms is a very high resistance, its high enough that I wouldn't call it a fail, specially if it was erratic in the high Meg ohm range. You didn't happen to have your fingers touching either of the multimeter probes on the metal part did you? That alone might cause a reading like that.
Reality: A nasty hallucination that is caused by excess blood in the alcohol stream.

Nah i dont think my finger was on it it started at 12-13 then droped down and down till i got that picture at 5
