Removed rear quarter windows as my sealing technique was less than ideal, water was running in and filling the floor. Resealed them and put a small amount on polyurethane on some gromets sealing the holes left from removing the rear window wiper and rear window squirter, Wish I'd just welded them up before it was painted, but hadn't foreseen me removing them....

Car is now 100% water tight and ready for Interior reinstallment.

Swept the concrete with my front lip

Yesterday: Did an oil change and replaced the rubber seal between the oil filter union (no more annoying little drips in the garage).

Ended up not being able to get Megan Racing ones as they ended up being out of stock!

So instead have some SPC ones on the way via DHL. More expensive but they have a pretty good rep in the states. And get a fair bit more adjustment out of them apparantly.

Acquired a set of shimless buckets and a 7a waterpump pulley from Zebra, its great when you walk in and someone has already removed all the bits in the way and you just pick up the bits you want and walk out. Also found out the new Zebra yard is opening next month, and is 2mins from here.

All together and running. Ready to take down to Welly for Lith to tune in a couple of weeks.

Mark/whynot spent a bit of time sorting out the idle and various enrichment tables (beyond me haha). Took it for a bit of a drive so he could go over some of the tune (based off his own car). Sounds pretty angry past 5000rpm

Ordered some new front springs for my coilovers. If my decoding of part numbers is correct I have 10kg springs when it should have had 14kg.

Spent about 5 hours today getting to the root cause of the the problem with my diff having end float in the pinion gear.

Turns out that the front bearing was getting tight on the pinion shaft after getting wound about 3/4 way on, and the spline for the flange was tight too when getting to about that point.

Spent a feckload of time cleaning them and now it looks to all go together as expected.

Pretty dissapointed to have to deal with this myself after paying a workshop almost $500 to set it up, who messed up several things.

Ahhh well nearly there.

Raced it.

Turns out with semi slicks on the front, and snow tyres on the back running 45psi, you don't need to touch the handbrake to pull a nifty 180 spin at any stage in a motorkhana test. Fun times.

Also took out first in class, and second overall for the series, so I'm happy with that.

Also, ran into I reckon bloody nearly every Toyspeeder near Manfeild!
