What type of tube to use for water hard lines?

Might end up making my own stainless hard lines for my 2JZ.

Just wondering what type of pipe should I use? Seamless, spiral welded?

I just used some seamless tube as it was easy to get. Doubt there will be much difference either way, the cooling system isn't going to see that much pressure

Nah was from Milson Metals in Palmy, no doubt S&T would do it though. Is there an Anzor Fasteners up your way? They do all manner of stainless products

Why stainless? I used 1.6mm aluminium tube for all mine; lighter, easier to bend, swage, cut etc.

Any type of stainless is fine. Only difference between seamless etc is hygienicness (we require it for some sterile dairy processes) and sometimes when we need a slightly higher bursting pressure. Seamed stainless around 6000psi, seamless can be up around 8-9000 psi depending on size of tube.

But I apart from being easie to weld/not having access to a ac tig, I think ali I'd the better option.

All Alloy and stainless tubing in Auckland go to Tube Bending in East Tamaki!
They have all sizes and bends. And can cut you straight to any length.

Thye have bins out the front which are cheap, i've always been able to find most of what I needed in the bins!
ie. You buy a 'U' bend then you can chop it up to what ever angle you require.
