Stolen - UZZ30 Soarer, Stokes Valley

Postby Dell'Orto » Tue Aug 05, 2014 10:12 pm

I forgot to post this yesterday, but a workmate's Soarer was stolen from outside his house in Stokes Vegas Sunday morning.
It's distinctive in that its ratty as hell, with terrible faded/peeling blue paint, having done nearly 400,000k's. I guess it was likely stolen for the motor, if not for joyriding.
If anyone notices a rough as guts UZZ30 dumped anywhere around, flick me a PM. He's not terribly gutted as it was bought purely as a donor car, but it's still money down the drain!

Bloke I was talking to tonight said he saw one this morning up in Maungaraki. Parked on wrong side of road with door open.
Did it have a white bonnet?

Nah, was all one horribly faded/peely colour. And my mistake, was actually green (but faded to blue )

Could have been the same one. Bloke said it was darkish,

Forgot to mention, this was recovered last Sunday out the back of Porirua, minus wheels and AFM but otherwise complete. The interior was full of junk and dog hair, clearly they'd been driving it around until the WOF ran out!

They are all good with driving a stolen car, but won't drive one without a wof?

So confused.

No ownership checks on drink driving/ simple stops.

WOF sticker is an obvious sign something is wrong.
