We've always harped on about how much we love Toda Racing here at Fortyone - for many reasons - they focus on N/A, the MAKE their own stuff, they test / race their own stuff, and they are what you'd call thoroughly JDM. They have partnered with some of the most well known names in Japan (ASM, J's Racing, Tracy Sports etc) and along with JUN, they supply many of the other top brands core engine components. This is why we also love JUN.
You know you are always getting Japanese quality and perfection with Toda and that is very hard to say about all part from all brands. In the 7 or so years we've worked with Toda, we've had 0 returns, mishaps or failures. And some cam kits have done over 40,000km without issue so far! You cannot substitute for quality - if you're aiming high with your engine build then you need strong products to get you there, with very low risk.
Without further delay!
Toda Fightex CoiloversThere's many different spec'd Toda coilovers. All Toda coilovers are made in their factory (which is their HQ also) in Japan. The are one of very few small-volume coilover manufacturers in Japan. Toda Fightex is in my top 4 coilover options out of Japan. They're actually number 1 based on personal preferences because I love the brand - but they are up there with Showa / Crux, Aragosta and the quasi-Ohlins / Bilstein options.
Designed and suited to race environments!! You'll pop a disc running these on the road. Prices start at $3859 + Shipping. If you race, these are what you look at.
Toda Engine ComponentsThe 4AG engine components are easily out best seller. They outsell Jun 10:1, and TRD didn't get a look in either. We have customers in Ireland, Australia, Qatar, Croatia and here running Toda internals in their cars. Mainly 4AG, some 3SG Altezza owners.
Toda engines are N/A endurance kings. You can thrash their components and they'll just keep coming back, offering the same performance week in, week out. Again, they are Japanese made. This means Japanese quality cores, manufacturing, quality and research. Proper enthuiasts and serious race engine builders never overlook Toda.
Cams start around $1235 + Shipping, Valve springs $217 + Shipping and cam gear pairs $475 + Shipping.
Toda Racing Stroker kitsThey are all designed to be balanced, lightweight, forged (strong!) and for high power. There are kits for 4AG, 3SG, 1ZZ, 2ZZ, 2JZ engines. They are a one-shot off-the-shelf option for those who want perfectly matched, strong, no-nonsense parts. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a US option that comes close quality wise. Furthermore, the quality of the parts matters when it comes to endurance based, high power builds. Custom assembled engines are often cheaper though I can't say I've had a Toda stroker kit issue. Ever. In 8 years.
So that's a teaser of what they can do. They are race orientated. Toda do not focus on consumer-street level products. I can safely say that I can count on one hand the number of people who use Toda on the street, but I'll need a whole choir to count the number of race customers using Toda.
