Didnt work. Runs better, but still not firing on all 4. Really unsure what the problem is, because now Im 99% certain my settings are correct, as well as wiring. Jared can sort it out this weekend.

Sounds like a headache, should have just bought a Link or something similar!

+1

The only good part about the Megasquirt is the low initial buy price.

Jared had a look, we ended up deciding not to go with the twin coils and got the car running with the distributor instead. Then he mentioned he had a set of COP's already setup for 16v 4AGE, so I took those, will be putting them in next weekend.

So triggering wasn't the fault?

Its hard to say, because we only got the engine running through my distributor, not using the CAS/coil combo. By the time we got it running, it was pissing down and we werent in any mood to completely replace the ignition :P But the injectors are definitely working perfectly, so thats a plus, and now Ill be using COP's, once hes sent up a new Megasquirt with 4 spark outputs.

He reckons it was probably a dodgy coil, but I had 4 to choose from, and no combination seemed to work right..

Still sounds like triggering to me - you may find the issue pops up again with COP.

So I got tired of trying to get the COP/CAS setup working, decided to try out the stock distributor and rewire to use the factory loom. Started up first try. Spent the last week on and off tuning the fuel and spark, really happy now. Eventually I will try out the new setup again, but not really worried about it for now.

It doesnt look like its the Megasquirts fault after all. Its running strong!
