2015 Formula One

Postby Sideros » Sat Feb 28, 2015 8:33 am

Well testing so far is looking good for most teams reliability. I hope mclaren can sort their shit before melbourne. Looks like Marussia is back in as well. I don't see the point really though as they wont get any money out of it as they wont be able to finish high enough. I'd have thought they'd been better to take a year and develop then come back nek year able to fight for mid field or something.

Can't wait to get to melbourne and watch the first race! Who else is going over this year?

No Alonso in Melbourne. That's not a good sign for him. Still it gives Magnussen another chance to prove his worth to the team.

So has Mercedes really developed their car, or has everyone else just taken a big step backwards. With a 2 second gap between them and the rest, looks as if its going to be a one horse race once again.

Bought a McLaren cap the other day.
Kinda embarrassed to be wearing it now :/

And Manor! Get here, put the cars together, and no software to run them

The big question this weekend? McLaren or Manor ?
Also, how are you watching? I am looking at dropping Sky as the F1 is all I watch on it and I am unsure about listening to the UK Sky commentary all this season.

Will Honda gamble on turning the engine up?
Renault said they were 100 hp down on Merc at Melbourne. So Honda was 300hp down? :?:

Sky UK commentary is FANTASTIC after you have spent a weekend listening to the Australian F1 commentary, Neil Crompton is fine on the V8s so bloody annoying in F1.

I usually watch via vip sports

Finally someone puts a dent in the silver arrows armour.

There seeming invinciblity reminds me of the tank scenario in WW2 the yanks with there Shermans firing bombs that bounce off the King Tiger tanks armour.

Good to see Vettel and team Red trying to take the fight to the Merc's even Raikkonen with all his drama's looked clearly a 1000% better than last year.

Makes me think the people at the top of Ferrari's F-1 food chain were the problem all along.

But remember last year the red bulls took the fight to the Mercs at Malaysia.
The hot weather is not really suited to the Mercs and they go off real fast after a few laps.

I think the next race will be a better indication of where they all stand and I think the Mercs will still have an advantage..

Funny to see how down the Merc drivers were. Think they are too used to winning!

Probably true the difference being Ferrari don't seem to be 100 hp down or whatever it was like RBR.

I still think the Mercs have it in hand but its good to see at least Ferrari have made a huge step foward in the development of there car.RBR have taken a step backwards and a big one also. The long run pace and the way it uses its tires also is very encouraging for Ferrari also.

Vettel & Raikkonen look alot more motivated now with at least machinery they can fight with instead of being road cone's like they were last year.

Friday practices are normally boring ontrack but the Sky commentator just spent the whole time it seemed talking about himself and making in jokes with his mates, every now and then Bruno Senna would be asked to answer a question most 5 year old F1 fans already know the answer to and Johnny Herbert and Martin Blundell were restricted to telling everyone how hot and humid it was compared to their days racing. The BBC guys were a little more informative in keeping viewers updated with pit gossip.

I seem to remember FA also getting some early good results when he joined Ferrari. The new Ferrari boss looks like a gangster. I wonder if you screw up it plays out like when Tommy gets "made" in Goodfellas.
