Four new Eagle F1 D5's for the Legacy. First time I have ever had 4 new tyres at once before , now I'm ready for 6 months of wet Auckland roads.

Thanks for the suggestion Leon. Nick sorted me out with a great price to test and install new parts. Turns out it was the voltage regulator so now I have Denso parts in the Repco re-manufactured alternator. Hopefully it keeps going for many more years.

Put some new rear bushes in some of the trailing arms in the back of the DX. What a crap job to do.
Have done one side, will try to do the other side tomorrow.

Bet it will handle like crap now till I get it all set up again.

Replaced the radiator in my wifes CRV. Pulled it out to get fixed and was a bit rotten, so just got a new one.

Picked up an AE111 BZ Touring Carib yesterday. Bit wierd going from a VK45DE to a blacktop 4AGE

Might have to hide the keys because my wife is quite fond of it

got round to fitting speedgear racing stainless extractors at last, fit and finish pretty good for price needed a bit of attention on the flanges though.

some notes: the 3 nuts holding the standard header to downpipe are on for life, i snapped all 3 studs undoing these using a breaker bar, not an issue seeing as they were going, you could drill out the studs and just use a new nut-bolt combo, the nuts are like an all metal lock nut with a weird star shaped end to the studs no idea the proper method to remove them.

also fitted a beatrush duracon knob intended for modern gt-86, same thread type and 6-speed shift pattern you just have to remove some material from the hole to line up the pattern ( use a drill bit wrapped in tape and held in a vice, then just remove and test as you go ) you can also cut a short length of heater hose to space the boot closer to the knob so there is no gap, oh yeah theres the new double-din sony stereo as well, used a metra 70-1761 harness soldered and heatshrunk to the sony harness

Put a new TGP thermostat into the Carib. Fixed the fluctuating temperature. Old one was dated 5/96 so was stock

Even not running at the right temp, I managed 13.6km/l on the last tank :D

Check out my project page , it has the links to my blog which has lots more details .

Some weeks ago the radiator blew in my daily driver 101 corolla , so I got a new one and fitted it , only to find the bottom of the radiator , lower hose and heater didn't get warm , so I replaced the thermostat and the same thing still.
At that stage I figured it was the water pump but I hate working on daily drivers ( I have projects / race cars for car work  ) so it sat in the driveway for the last month.
Today I finally got around to inspecting the water pump and as expected it's not the healthiest , probably time for a new one I think :-)

Waxed the Commodore and the 86. Dusted off the 92 and topped up with gas in anticipation of a scary bit of gravel road race tomorrow.
