I'm having a C56 transmission rebuilt for my race car and as we don't have the VIN of the car it came from - apparently there is around 3 or so variations to gearing / parts between the C56 and they can't supply based on gear tooth counts etc..
Any ideas of how to get the right parts for this thing?
Cheers

Transmission will have a serial number stamped on it somewhere.
First three digits tell you year and month of manufacture. YMMxxxx.. eg 308xxxx means August 1993 (or 2003)
