On Saturday I removed the 2-1 section of the exhaust manifold to wrap it, snapped a stud off, smacked my knuckle into the sump, lots of cursing and swearing. Required a heap of new nuts and bolts so gave up. Got it wrapped at least so wasn't a complete waste of time.

Tonights mission is to put it all back together.

Yesterday, welded in the snapped off seat mount in my Dad's AE101, then refitted the modified body loom into the MR2. Everything works!

Thanks.

I had to go home early as I chewed out the outside left of my left front pretty much down to the belt.

If I'm honest with you if I had better tyres the car would have been alot a quicker. For me it was disappointing because me being who I am I could only fault what was wrong with my driving and the car at the front end just wasn't good enough for my liking.

But it was sentimental for me as I did my very first track-day on that extension in that car 15 years ago and it was fitting that probably thats where the car will probably see its last with me as an owner as I will be selling it in the near future.

I was really impressed with the V8 5 series BMW that thing was treally good at turn in in the corners wider track helped it big-time.Liked it alot.

Just on a side note I had a guy in an 86 line me up at the flying mile lights on the way home hazard to say that race was over pretty quick lol.

Thanks again for the link to get me in Leon.Have to say while under powered your 86 seriously has nice handling abilities and looks nice to drive while approaching the limit.

Yeah, the 86 has incredible manners on the track.

But you'd have to be a few sandwiches short of a picnic to take on a Supra in one!!

Went to fire it up and do some pulls on the new engine to do some fine tuning but she's dead as a doorknob so had to go down to kmart and pickup a charger.

Gotta take it in for a roadworthy inspection and emissions test. Not feeling confident about a pass but I'll see what it does I guess.

Today i cut the front end apart on my crashed mx5 so I could get the drivetrain out.

Also test fit my turbo setup.

Not sure what i'll do with the shell when im done, maybe cut it in half and make a trailer out of it..

Heatwrapped the headers for the sedan, then modified the old exhaust so they fit. Bolted the manifolds on for good, and ticked a couple of boxes off the cert list.
Might even try and make the driveshaft loop this week!

While the engine was out drilled and tapped the sump for an oil return fitting.
All ready to go into the new shell tomorrow after work.

Also installed the steering rack and test fit an NB dashboard.

Finally took the car out for a spin after installing the Tilton twin plate that I got off Bazda.

6k RPM dump clutch, goddamn that thing goes.

I think I might have a slight gearbox issue now, looks like off everything goes again during Christmas / new years.
