fitting e58 gearbox to 20v

Hi Guys / Girls
having trouble finding a defendant answer on the net regarding what is required when it comes to doing the gearbox swap.
I have removed the c56 gearbox yesterday and sat it beside my e58 box. straight away I notice the input shaft is larger so the clutch will need to be changed.
The questions I required answered are :
1. can I run the BT flywheel and just get a custom clutch plate to suit ?
2. If the answer to option 1 is yes will the BT starter motor still work ?

if the answer is no Im guessing I am required to buy a gze flywheel , clutch and starter motor . ( I do have the e58 axles)

any help would greatly be appreciated before I go spending $ on things I dont need .

The 4agze flywheel is bigger 225mm from memory as opposed to the 200 or 215mm 4age option

You will need the larger one for the startermotor to engage
To sumerize
4agze flywheel
4agze clutch
Then you should be good to go

As far as I know hubs are actually same (as far as I remember the bearing is exactly same for wide range of toyotas).

Hubs in the 20v models are the same (ae101 and ae111) infact all the corolla's share the same front hub (mac strut only)

I stand corrected! You know what they say about assumptions...

I was thinking about this recently since I'm parting out my AE92 GTZ and thought about keeping it and putting a cheap 4age and C series for autocross etc.

I have some ae82 hubs though, I should compare them and see.

20V and E series box is not a good combo. Are you wanting to do this simply for the LSD? Can't think of any other benefit however you will loosed much more than you will gain doing this, factory torsen diff C56 or aftermarket LSD is the way to go if that is what you are after.

Yep what he said. Years ago I lost 3 seconds a lap round the old Taupo 1.4km circuit going to an E series box. Went back to the C series and picked it up again straight away. E series is just too heavy a box for the 20v.
