Managed to fit

4 x 17 inch bare wheels
4 x 17 inch tyres
4 x 14" rally wheels & tyres
1 x 14" wheel bare
1 x trolley jack

all into the Altezza. Was a bit of a squeeze, and resulted in towbar scraping as I pulled out of the driveway,

Apparently though, I can't put photos on here any more as upload attempts just give me errors

It's not too shabby.

These are some of my favorite photos of the car. The only thing I don't like about the photo is actually the car. Specifically the ride height and wheel offset.

I was too busy looking at myself in the reflection of the paint to notice. But yeah, so low and offset would add to its appeal.

Bahaha  true. It's just a red mirror effectively.

More low coming soon. Wheels, well spacers would help but they are not wide enough to be practical. Only 6.5" wide. Plus a cert for spacers would be completely ridiculous for a visual mod.

Decent wheels are so cheap. I got those 17x8/9 SA3Rs for 500 with tyres.
Got new bumper and headlights for Corolla, it might be a bag of dicks, but I'll try make it look good.

Went to pick a part, found some facelift tail lights for the Corolla, and some other useful odds and ends.
Finally legal!

Worked my way around the Blade's Japanese head unit. Removed some music that the Japanese owner had on the hard drive. Added a ton of my own, Gracenote system has album and track names for most music. Turned off the audible ETC prompt when you turn the car on.

I have had a couple of issues pop up in the Crown, firstly engine light, vsc and trc lights on the dash appeared. oops, too many skids .
turns out just an air sensor failure. sweet, part on order. but after we worked that out, the drivers window controls wouldn't work the other windows. :(
after spending a day googling, I discovered that TMC in Japan had a recall of a few models (including lexus/crown) for faulty window master controls, sweet, ring local Toyota dealer who just told me my number plate didn't exist. :( . emailed Toyota NZ, they would have to check with TMC in Jap :) . then today went to the dealer I brought it off (1 year and 3 days ago). only had a 1 year warranty :( , but he did tell me about a little fact about the window controls. It turns out that the crown resets something in the controls after you have disconnected the battery. we had to move each window down with the windows own control, while using the drivers control to put it up. Problem solved. Will be interesting to hear what Toyota NZ say when Japan gets back to them.

^ Yep, that's the case with most cars that have auto up/down windows. If you've disconnected the battery, unplugged the switch or changed the regulator you have to reset the system by putting the window down from the door itself (eg. right rear) and hold down the switch for an extra 5-seconds once it's reached the bottom. Then when you put it up you hold the switch for an extra 5-seconds once it's fully up. We get a lot of customers coming into work asking for a new window regulator or master switch but a simple 10-second reset usually fixes the problem and costs them nothing :)
