You all misspelled 3UZ.
Brake swap on Corolla was crazy easy, though interestingly the BZ-G subframe only has 2 bolts either side, vs 3 on the plain jane one.
Might try and find some GT Apex springs to see how they compare.

Installed some TRD bars and a 92+ shift lever on the SW20.

Failed a WOF on the Altezza.

Lower F balljoint, and some bottom arm to hub bushes.

Sigh.

Not used to unexpectedly failing warrants on Toyotas.

Low Altezzas eat balljoints, and those rear hub/toe control bushes flog out with age/hidings.

Pulled door panels off Corolla to change the colour back to stock dark grey and fit the rear pocket covers I got from Pick a Part. Got some Duplicolor vinyl paint for that job tomorrow.

Pulled wipers off front and rear and removed lower windscreen cowl and repainted them black.

Pulled off wheel centres and repainted them silver as they were flaking.

Lookin' good.

Parked it up in garage after it being stuck in a unit for over a year, between selling and building. Have missed being able to fart around with it!

How is that so jacked??? Sitting on Low Cobra springs in fact, couldn't be bothered shortening shocks etc at the time, handles alright as is.

There's something fishy about those brakes. Single pots?

Intentionally terrible pun. Are they not the standard calipers? You'd think a car that big would have twins at least.

Yeah they're the standard calipers, just painted red. Same brakes as the 2.4L Camry equivalent would you believe. You'd think they'd be twin pots on the 3.5L (like the TRD Supercharged version) but Toyota dropped the ball. In saying that though the brakes are more than adequate for stopping, even more so now with the extra ventilation from the Znoelli rotors and better Bendix pads. I had considered upgrading the calipers at the same time as the rotors, but they've never really been 'bad' so I just left them as is :)

Changed the door panels in the Corolla back to the stock dark grey from the shit looking off white/teal colour. Came up really nice. Total PITA to mask though. Literally over half the door panel had to be masked off for a couple of sections of vinyl.

Fitted back the wipers, new blades and lower windscreen cowl, all freshly repainted. Rear wiper has it's first new blade in at least five years

Fitted freshly painted wheel centres.

Next job will be to repaint the window frames black.

New mods! I discovered that EZ Lip have recently introduced a silver version into their 'Colors' range, so I decided to buy one off TradeMe and give it a shot. My front bumper has seen a few lips over the last 18-months that I've had the car, all of which have been torn off or been damaged beyond repair due to the entrance of my garage and the height of the front-end, so I'm not planning on the EZ Lip sticking around for the long run, but for now it looks good. Upon the first drive into the garage it tore where the lip meets the 3M VHB double-sided tape (no fault of the lip itself) but it's not overly noticeable and seems to spring back for the most part every time it happens.

The 'silver' is actually more of a very light grey, which in directly sunlight is quite a lot lighter than the actual colour of the car, but if it lasts the distance I may look at trying to stain it slightly or maybe even plasti-dipping it to be slightly darker. Who knows, once it gets dirty from road grime etc it may naturally become darker, lol.

The other new addition was the carbon fiber looking sideskirt extensions. Some of you may remember that I had one of these on the front bumper before I lowered it even further, which got torn off by the driveway straight away. I had two brand new spare ones sitting in the wardrobe however so thought I'd put them to good use. The photos don't really do them justice, but you get the idea.

That's it for the weekend. Back to driving the car and clenching my butt cheeks every time I enter a driveway

Finished off doing all Nolathane bushes in the Corolla...its such a contradiction to drive, as I haven't done the shocks yet so its firm and direct in a straight line, but as soon as you turn it wallows and dives
Off for paint next week, then shock/spring upgrade.

Fitted up my front door trims to the Corolla. Finally broke the cubby door under the HVAC #ae82problems

Also ordered some genuine trim clips in grey for the rear interior panels to replace the white ones.

Found the speed limiter in the Blade

I've got one of those on the Blade 8)

I quite like the look of the TRD grille for the Blade.
