So a little bit off-topic from cars but kinda related I guess.....
A little bit of history first. So my dad got a brand new pinto trailer back in 2000 (holy shit - thats 16 years now!). After 10 years it wasn't getting used, sat round and deregistered. In 2012 I got hold of it, passed its first wof but 6 months later failed on bearing rumble. I replaced the bearing but didn't fix it. The trailer wasn't ideal for me anyway so I passed it onto my sister who seldomly used it and lived outside.
Anyway, now it's back in my possession and time to restore it. Pulled the axle and hubs off, and found this. Can't remember if this was the side that had rumble or not.
The other side is slightly better, but still showing some marks.
Is this too far gone to use or will a polish with fine sandpaper be enough?
This is the trailer when I got it back and after I got a new deck for it
