4AGE valve shims

Postby Deano » Wed Aug 23, 2017 2:21 pm

Hi All,

I'm looking at dropping in a new camshaft(s) for my 4AGE to get a bit more out of it.

Question: Where do people source valve adjustment shims, should the be required? I've seen a few 25mm shims that look suitable on ebay - unless there are NZ options?

Note, the lift is only going to be 0.5mm more, so I don't have a desire / need for under bucket shims.

Thanks!

If youre going down that route, Id recommend converting to 1SZ shim-under buckets.

Thanks, I found an ebay supplier who does both the 1SZ style ones and also the old style on top ones. Here is a good overview for anyone who hasn't seen the details:
