Rate my spark plugs...

Postby Technohedge » Sun Sep 09, 2018 5:32 pm

From Caldina GTT thats not been boosting like it should for a while now. Keep meaning to get to the bottom of it.

Pressure gauge reads normal boost pressure, but it smells a lot of unburnt fuel so im wondering if its rich?

seems a fair bit of carbon on the plugs?

Left plug is from cylinder nearest river

Hmmm its been bugging me for ages now, I have checked the resistance on all the coil packs and they seem to be consistent. Seems to be getting manifold pressure from the boost gauge reading (although Im unsure if its getting up to pressure as quickly as before, hard to tell from looking at a gauge).

Plugs arent that old either

Have the injectors tested perhaps?

Yea I haven't tried the injectors. How does one test these?

You take them to someone that can test them. Matt Dunn on here used to do it I think, likely still does.
