I have a whole lot of steam pipe bends and a custom cut plate that i was going to use to make a manifold.
If you want PM me and we can do a deal.

dont join all 4 pipes to 1 just join them to the flange on turbo, mig is sweet, just crank up heat, i would suggest bolting the manifold to somethin b4 welding as it warps the flanges like my one did but would pay to get it machined flat anyway, i have pics of my one that is made from steam pipe and welded with a mig i can send if ur stuck. not a hard job and cost a total of about $150

im the man i know how to do all welds lol.
i'm just saying its not as easy as u think, I bet it will have lots of leaks and prob end up cracking. Seen so many people attempt for the first time and they have all failed.
If they were that easy to make then why charge $500-1500 for a set of manifolds?.

and I dont do shit to my car..... lol sure thing man I leave the car int eh drive way and everything makes itslelf over night.

oh and why is using a tig such a funny idea?? if u want some nice welds and got the cash to get a tig and the experience to use one then tig would be mean.

Didnt mean using a tig was a funy idea a tig would make a nice clean weld and doesnt give al the stragly shit inside the pipe but ive only got a mig so id rather use that than hire a tig, the good thing bout making 1 urself is that u have al the time in the world
im sure theres alot of people out there who have atemted making 1 and done the mean joby

i rekn u gotta start sumwhere! so y not make a manifold! good on u for giving it a go i rekn! i didnt think it was very difficult at all, steam pipe comes in a range of bends to easy to make it go where u want it to. if ur worried about leaks run water thru it and see if it leaks then patch up any hole if any, just crank welder up and do fat welds and it should b fine. NO1 CAN BEAT UR BURNOUTS HAYDEN! NO1!!! burning cock on corona!!

if u got leaks, best thing to do is grind back where it leaks and weld over it. Make sure yoru surfaces are clean when u weld or else it will leak.

Also remember a good weld is only as good as your fit-up. Best advice I can give. (Yes, i'm a welder, fabricator).

I'd use TIG if the option is there and purge with argon or nitrogen.

Cheers,

Paul. ;)
