I think the poll needs to be..."Are MR2 owners easy to wind-up?"...

The MR2 should is a hairdresser/womens car... The MR2 should is a hairdresser/womens car... The MR2 should is a hairdresser/womens car... The MR2 should is a hairdresser/womens car... I didn't really think of them of a hairdressers car, though they do have a bit of the whole:

"I really want to be a Ferrari... but I'm very obviously not"

thing going on - until the new MR2, which has more of the

"I really want to be a Porsche Boxter, but I'm not..."

thing going. Given the Boxter is a bit of a ladies car, hmmm ;)

I dont see the sw20 turbo as a hairdressers car. But its bloody amusing wiping the smile off the other racers face when you whoop their ass in a so called 'hairdressers car'

The MR2 is not a hairdressers car, well.... maybe a gay hairdresser

Nah, definately not as bad as a MX5, a standard sw20 can look a bit girly though.

I like Perverts idea on the "Wind Up" poll, I know I'm easy to wind up on the topic or MR2s :) LOL

I used to think the MX5 was a girly \ gay car myself but realise now the whole thing really depends on the owner and not peoples unfounded perceptions of waht makes a car gay or girly.

Many older people buy MX5s as club cars or "Enthusiasts Cars" and are just as passionate about them as us SW20 owners, so we shouldnt hassle them.

Sure they are underpowered (even the latest turbo one) but at the end of the day whos cares, so long as youre happy with it.

Being that mine is a targa top, it is actually my hairdresser! :D
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

The real poll should be : How many jealous loosers need to grow up?

No, the real pol should be "How many Toyota Fanatics does it take to skew a poll, when we all know what the real result would be if we asked joe average". A little long winded, but relevant, none the less.

It's NOTHING to do with jealousy, it's nothing to do with how well the car performs. Just like the MX5, and the Starlet, this IS a hairdressers car.

I have no problem admitting that. And my previous cars:

Turbo sigma - boy racer/maori's car
Datsun bluebird - Granny car
Ford escort - eh what can you say, everyone drives an escort at some point in their lives!
etc.

I'm not in denial about what I drive. Dont get me wrong, I love MR2's, and am considering one as a second car (turbo version), but they ARE a middle aged woman going through midlife crisis car.
