Tire recomendations?
Ok, I need some new tires for the front of my wagon.
I have 4 options, the only consideration is performance, I don't care about other aspects such as road noise, and treadwear.
These are the options I have, out of these which would you select and why?
Yokahama Grand Prix M3 195/60/14
Dunlop Formula Spec R 195/60/14
Goodyear Ducaro F1 195/60/14
Bridgestone Grid II 185/60/14
Any advice would be minta!
Cheers,
Sam

Out of these four I would choose Grid II first then GP M3, because these tend to have a softer compound, which provides better grip in the dry and wet, where the Dunlops and Goodyear are a bit harder compound, which last longer but don't have better grip.
My fifth recommendation is BS Potenza RE711, they are great tires... great in the dry and wet... I have these tires on for street use... but I am not sure if this fits in your price range and if it's still available...

Are these tyres second hand or new ? as they r all obsolete tyres now
And it depends on ur driving style and wot u require from the tyres as to wot wood be best . If i may recommend u a tyre than i wood say tht the dunlop direzzas wood be ur best bet in that size for grip and wet weather traction , if thts wot u require

I only have ONE consideration- performance.
I don't care about how long they last, I don't care about how loud they are, I don't care about the ride.
I ONLY care about performance.
What do you mean by performance? Speed or grip? Obviously your wheels are 14" alloys, which when you accelerate you will have a quicker acceleration but low top speed. If you want quick acceleration the 185/60/14 would be better choice... But if you want performance in handling the 195/60/14 will grip better...

no more 711 potenzas, they have been phased out to make way for the grid 111's according the the bridgestone guy, and they had better grip well, they are a dot approved race slick apparantly. Im getting grid 111's tomorrow for the rear of the mr2 and at $225per tyre for a 225/55/15 they had better be good
