Supra mk3 speakers

Post by liftback »

Can anyone tell me what the sizes are of the 4 standard speakers in a mk3 supra? I would like to have replacements that will fit at least in the standard location in the doors - i think the back ones will be too oddball though. I dont have my car at the moment so I cant check myself.

Cheers for any help.

Pretty sure I used 4" in mine. Back ones were slightly larger (only slightly) but I made an adapter plate.

Hmm bugger... I'll have to see if I can persuade the doors to fit larger speakers...

Should fit bigger easly with a little work- the 4" is still using the standard box/baffle unit- do away with that and bigger wouldnt take to much work.

drawback is the speakers then just run free air with no baffle (is that the right term?) or enclosure. i tried upgrading my XES 4's with 5" competition jbl's in the front of mine, and the 5's sounded no where near as good.
