Its pretty simple eh...you talking about bolting the manifold to the head, or actually setting them up?

Its usually not the best idea to "adapt" something unless you know what your doing. Sidedrafts are pretty fiddly and if the two aren't setup equally you can run into problems.
Do you have pics?

my guess , is that the missing 'thing' is the throttle cable wheel or cable clamp, not an issue to adapt.

i do hope it isn't a redline manifold, they are an absolute asshole to fit, and a few parts were needed to be made to make a mates one tighten up correctly.

Whats the deal with the Redline manifolds? Can't you just have the faces planed?

Apparently they're made from a grade of aluminium that doesn't withstand the heat when bolted directly ontop of the exhaust manifold.

Interesting...I was thinking of making up some kind of phenolic spacer for it anyway.

that would be because the section that gets clamped is of varying thicknesses, the shaping where they butt up to the extractors needs to be trimmed, and you can't get your nuts (let alone a socket/spanner!) onto the manifold studs due to the intake runners being too close

get creative or get real matey with an engineer.

we opted for semi stepped washers to take up slack, made some 40mm long tube nuts fot the 2 inside studs, but still have to disassemble the whole bloody thing to get some clearance for the front upper stud.

AFAIK, there are no other new sidedraft manifolds available anymore :( I'll just tweak mine til it fits good. Am definately gonna heatwrap the extractors too.
