Para rubber do a thick rubber that works well. Also used for truck flaps. Places like Palmside do colored rubber for those with a taste for the dramatic.... like me.

Some printers use a rubber sheet that is backed by canvas in some of the printing machines...will try to get the name of them...
Normally them throw them out after a certain time etc, so might be able to get it for free=good
I used to use them as archery targets...
I tried plastic for a while and i definately recommend rubber. I find that plastic loved breaking when something decent hit it. And if i remember correctly Gary had the same problem on his gt4. Plus they faded to pink
Rubber, 30x30 and just cut it.

I had them on my old datsun and they worked really well. They were carpet on one side backed by thick rubber. Worked really well and if your on a budget are also really good, all for hairy flaps on the car for $27, can't beat that for price. Got them from para rubber as well, pretty much unbreakable as i found out when i broke a chain on one of the rear ones and ran it over backing at high speed. Broke the bolts holding it to the car rather than the mudflap. Try them they look alright once they are dirty and nobody really notices them unless you tell them what they are. After they are dirty once you can't really tell anyways
