help me decide - toyota or honda
ok. im new to this forum so hello
my delima is this:
i currently drive a honda (spit) integra XSI... with a few mod's and it goes really well, and it's practical and wonderful on gas.... and damn quick too..
yesterday i saw a 1982 toyota celica xx for sale. now im really really keen on this car, because my first car i ever owned was also a XX.
but i dunno if i should or not.
i want it because:
1. it's just so damn cool
2. RWD
3. emtional attachment
4. decent power from a not so thirsty engine (1g-geu 2.0 straight six)
but the con's are:
1. it's older
2. it's got less power
3. it's heavier
4. (and this is the killer) parts and mod's, so far i've found almost nothing as far as mod's go availible for this car. (i.e. suspension, exhaust etc etc..)
and it doesn't look like spare parts are easy to come by either...
and im still a student so i don't have a lot of cash to throw around
what do you guys reckon? stay with the already modified practical honda or move to the XX...

As a student, the wise thing would be keep with the Honda, as its gonna be fairly reliable and rust free.
Of course, being a student you shouldnt take the sensible approach - go buy the Celica

Errr.... bearing in mind that the celica in question has a 1GGE?
It's not exactly going to set the world on fire.

if its a 1gge powered one compared to a 1geu one, then it will still go very well.

Keep the Honda, just because it's old doesn't mean it's cool, with the sillycar it'll spend more time off the road than on the road, and when it's actually on the road, you'll get beaten by any car.
And this is coming from a Honda hatin' turbo lovin' person.

No "stance", no "hellaflush", none of that bullshit. Nothing but no grip on full boost.
