toyota surf sunroofs

Post by MrBeef »

Hi there, im wonder - roughly how much it would cost the replace the galss in the sunroof..

or if/what models sunroofs are interchangeable?

cheers..

also when you go for a WoF, they actually check the sunroof? cos mine is cracked and pretty fragile. it is actually a requirement to have it sound?
Any last words?

Best to ring the wreckers for a price on a replacement glass,to changeover to glass is reasonably straightforward, undo the plastic side covers on the glass, remove 4(? I think) bolts remove glass, changeover, refit bolts, adjust glass to fit flush with the roof, refit plastic panels.

I don't know if they check it or not, but probably best to get it fixed as I'd imagine that like the windscreen they are a structural item these days.
