This is a real hot hatch!
MR2 engine + Toyota Aygo ='s totally kick ass!
here's the link http://www.autoblog.com/2008/06/12/mid-engine-mr2-powered-aygo-crazy-is-a-real-japanese-shogun/
I think this is what Matt Dunn should do with his MRS project's original engine

I think I'd rather take an MRS with a 2zz turbo conversion... not only is it quicker, but it's relatively easily road legal, and you're not borking the handling of the machine too much.

I always think of the old crowe sport cordia when i think of a really good hot hatch. From memory first came out with a v8 transplant but that wasn't wuite enough for them so they decided hell why not put two of them in there have on drive a pair of wheels at either end and somehow make it work with a person in the middle to control (try) it all.
Does anyone know where that went to, last i saw it was racing at ashley forest!!

No it didn't.
Renault Clio Sport FTW.
172ps. 1000kg and unlike its Toyota/Honda/Nissan n/a engines, this one has torque! You can actually get away at a reasonable pace from 50km/h in 5th!
Handling is something else as well

I would say the NZ Corolla GT would be my favourite hot hatch.

Cordia is a hatch, a coupe by definition has a boot.
Hot hatches are alive and well, Clio's, Golf's, Mazda 3 MPS, recent EP3 Civic Type R...
My fav hot hatch is of course, an Alfasud Ti.

Metro 6r4, for some reason i have a soft spot from them, don't know why. Anyone seen or heard anything about the latest 206 (is it still called that) na 4wd screamer 8k + rpm before redline thnk it's only wrc experimental at the moment although i've only seen it on one rally and i couldn't tell you exactly where although it may have been the thousand lakes??
And that is what i have always believed so it must be true

My point exactly, years ago! The Cleo was the last of the True hot hatches.
The Cordia is a coupe, not a hatch, it may be a hatched Coupe but it’s not a hatch
