Quick Question Ae111 BZR Head Lights

Post by bs »

When you have the high beams on (facelift headlights (two bulbs)), are both the high and low on? Or just the high beam?

Also does anyone knwo the numbers for the bulbs, as I can't find any markings on them.

Cheers

they share the same bulbs as an AE101 yes? pretty sure they do, rectangular metal end to them with one blue wire coming off it?

If its that then I could probably spot it on the Hella site and show ya which one

when you wire facelift lights into a prefacelift car the low beams turn off when you switch the highbeams on.
here's a link to get around it.

As far as im aware the facelift AE111 lights have different bulbs to the AE101, AE111 have the HB3 and HB4 bulbs in them where the AE101 have H1 and H3 bulbs

Pull one out it should have numbers on it
2017 Triton - The "free supplied by work" daily
2018 Camry V6 - The actual daily
1997 Trueno BZ-G - The Garage Queen
1997 Supra SZ-R - Now with added boost!

Sorted it! All I needed to know was that they are negative switched.

Both high and low go when highs are on now. And high beam light goes to.

But should I run a relay? Or would the standard relay be fine?

And should I change the fuse to a 20amp as suggested in the link above?

Cheers
