Catch up on friday night?

Post by Urban-Cruiser »

Anyone interested to have a catch up on friday night? Like the old Thursday night yaks at Harvey Norman.

I'm not sure where, Harvey maybe, about 8pm.

I know its short notice, but I cant make any other night. lol.

I've got work on Friday night so can't actually make it but why not go to a pub or something instead of standing around in a cold dank car park.

My flatmae is in M-sport (the mitsi club) and once a month, or something similar, they go to the Speight's Ale House on Bealey Ave.

Normally i'd be all for it....

But with all this BS in the news we'd look like a bunch of boy racers about to start some trouble in there

Oh well dont worry about. Thought it would be nice to get something happening again.

Pub isnt my thing. Too much temptation to drink. And thats a no-no.

The pub isnt never a good idea for car meets, and in my opinion nor are friday nights as that is the time that cops are looking for boyracers, and its the night that most drop kicks are out and spoil things for genuine people.

Id love to see regular meets up and happening again, but that will only happen with dedicated poeple.

Okay there would be several places to meet, but would we want under cover? Or out in the open? Harvey Norman is a good spot, but for some people is in town and not a good idea after whats been happening with the "boy racer" scene. Why not change the night to Wednesday? Are there any other covered car parks similar to HM? obviously bush inn is covered but what time do they close their carpark?

Lets stay away from gas stations, its not the cops ya need to worry about at them, its the stations themselves. Most of them go out of there way to prevent park ups, so we wont be agrevating that.

A covered car park is usually the best idea so as to keep cover for winter months. We dont really want to have to change places each week.

It's not covered but there is a good carpark at Pioneer which is open at night and away from any boyracer activity.
