new years resolutions

Post by frost »

well its another year past and its another year the car sits inside the garage,
so i'll start a thread to see whats everyone's plans are for there project/daily/pride n joy/race car.

i'll go first, get my AE85 hatch to a certed state get the worked engine in and tuned, and road legel.

swap the smallport in my notch for the gen4 3sgte.
money is not the problem thats been holding these things up, its time a effort, so to pull finger is a massive goal,

My projects suffer from a lack of money / motivation / room to work on them.

But i'd like to get the Escort up to WOF standard for next summer, that would be great. Though, quite possibly going to sell my place so it will have to go in storage for ~6 months, so that will put a spanner in the works on that idea! Hopefully i'll spend the next couple of weeks on it however, swap out the old shocks, give it a good clean (engine is BLACK) and try and start it. If I got it started i'd be happy with my achievement for the year.

The Corona... well I wouldn't mind stopping the cancer in that, but seeing as it lives outside that's unlikely. My goal for 2010 for this, is to actually keep a hold of it and not have to sell / wreck it when I move due to not having room. Not many places have storage for 2 projects and 2 dailies :x It currently resembles a block of holy swish cheese... its even the right colour.

2010 is looking to be a pretty sad year for my projects  If its a good year though, i'll keep them both and build a place with a triple garage. Which may or may not be an unrealistic goal.

Things look promising for a new job this year so hopefully once decent money starts coming in I'll be able to have a look at the MR2 again. Goal for the year (assuming job situation changes) is to have it running well enough to be driven and to get it 100% road legal then I'll start leaning on it power-wise.

Hopefully get the starlets issue sorted before the rego expires next month so I can get it wof'd and road legal without putting the rego on hold.

Get back doing what I enjoy track-days and more track-days I only managed 3 last year due to the economic climate so I want to get back into it starting on the 1st of Feb GTR Elite track-day at Taupo and then possibly with all things going well alot of intermarque sprint participation.

I'm going to cut down on the heroin and cocaine.

From now on, only 10 grams of coke a weekend, and only shoot up once a week.

Oh, and cut down on the P as well. Wanna have at least 10 sleeps until next year.
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

1. Finish boot install in Stagea
2. Sell RX7
3. Build a new race car
4. Stop smoking

Likelihood of #4 is slim.. But ill give it a go

Get some Hytec headers on the Torneo, get a decent tune, make some decent kw's.

Get the KP slammed, and road legal for the first time in almost 3 years (road legal is looking good for soon though!)
