WRC EP82 Starlet
http://g-crest.cool.ne.jp/photo/corolla/index2.html
I went looking for a site I saw years ago with an ae101 fxgt to wrc replica, I couldn't find it, but I did find this.
looks like a pretty good fit for the front panels from the european version of the ae112 series corolla that the Corolla WRC was based on.
Others thoughts?

is it an ep82? it doesnt look right in the back, or is it a tercel or something silly with an ep82 engine?
When in doubt, down and out.

I'd put money on that being grafter together. The engine bay is very EP82 except for the headlight supports which look like they have been changed.

Yep EP82. Tail lights are standard. They just have a clip on bit on the top to make them look like Corolla lights.

A workmate of mine is from the UK and worked for quite a few years there for Toyota, they were released as the G6 and G6R if im not mistaken.
G6R just had the flash interior and it may have been a 6-speed, pretty sure he said they were all released with 4AFE's

Yeah all 4afe.
There is a 5 door G6R that was floating around Dunedin until recently.
I don't understand why no 3 doors weren't imported into NZ by TNZ or others. 3 doors seemed to be reasonably popular at the time

As far as I am aware this was not a decision made at local level.
We looked at importing some from UK purely to produce some rally car mock ups similar to those in the pictures as we had the TTE agency here. But they were like rocking horse poo and very expensive at the time.
