Dumping oil...

Post by Silent Knight »

Anyone know where in Auckland I can take old oil? Probably not the best for me to start dumping it in the local river!

Have probably 5-10 4/5L containers with old oil from oil changes/diff jobbies, brake jobs etc...

Rubbish dumps normally have a waste oil disposal that you can dump into for free or you could ask the local workshops if they'll take it. as long as it's not too much most don't mind.
joke
Or you could drill holes in trees and pour it in

You can take old oil to Repco stores now and dump it for free. I was in Repco Westgate the other day, it's a new thing they're starting. Not sure if it's anywhere else in the country, but seems to be Auckland stores at least.

Last time I checked the old bp station on Arthur Street in Onehunga (opposite the primary school) still had their old oil dome, I've always dumped my oil there.
