In light of the new prostitution laws and everything......

I was watching Ricki Lake the other day (I was sick, honest!) and they were talking about the Adult Entertainment Industry and getting opinions to what people think of it! More so, about the people that take part in it (porrn stars, escorts, etc)
There were a couple of older ladies on the show, talking about how degrading it is to women and stuff, basically just fully dissapproving of it as a profession! There were a few corporate women there, who are producers and CEO's of Adult Entertainment companies, that were putting the industry into a new light!! They showed it as not being as sleazy as people believe it to be!

I was just wondering what everyone else had to say about it.

I personally don't have a problem with it, coz it's up to the individual, whether they want to put themselves out there or not, if they've got the choice, like if they enjoy it.

At the end of the day Prostitution is the oldest profession in the book and it's personal choice if you want to do it as a job! Sexx is always going to be out there and there will always be a demand for it, so what is wrong with it?

You could hardly call it a profession. I have been told by several different people that, to be a professional, your job, or field of work must not be able to be entered without any formal qualifications.........so there for there is no such thing as an I.T. Professional, or even a professional hooker!

small details aside.... i guess it all depends on how you regard sex. If you regard it as fun, intimate or heaven forbid a chore/job. I just assume that having sex with someone means nothing to a prostitute, its just a job to them.

i think making it legal is fine, i mean if you wanna do that, then its your choice. Only you have to live with the consequences if you screw up (providing you are an adult of course)

i am kinda of two minds to it, i think its sad that girls are driven to the extremes that make them go out and put themselves on the meatblock, or in porn films and stuff, and i think it sux that society has changed to almost encourage girls to beleive that thats all tehre worth, this is portrayed thru alot of music an movies etc.

but im not gonna eb one of those old fuddy duddys, who campaigns for someone who doesnt wanna b campaigned for if u kno wat i mean. these older ppl, who go its wrong, the poor girls we have to stop this, didnt actually stop to ask teh girls wat they want.

so yeah in short i think it sux that it happens and i dont agree with it, mainly cos iw ould hate it to be my gf out there, but they made the choice so its up to them.

i agree, id watch it, but wouldnt realy star in it, mainly beacause i got a g/f, and i dont think shed apprieciate it, but if i were single....hmmm, still not, well off camera is fine.
