Cargo shield/barrier for ST215 Caldina: Epic fail :o(

Post by Sick Puppy »

Does anyone use one of these in their ST215 Caldina? :?

Image

I bought it off a couple who had a GT-T; they reckon they used it, but my G spec only has the hooks on the bottom (as in for the Cargo net), but nothing at the top at the sides for the hooks on it to mount on. I can't find anything like this in ToyoDIY either...

I figured it would be useful, as every now and again, I've loaded the boot to the brim. Projectiles when stopping is usually bad :P

Is this aftermarket, or is what I've bought missing bits to mount it?

Thanks in advance for your help!

My caldina came with one but can't say I've ever looked at hooking it up. Do you attach it after you've folded the seats down?

Dunno! :P Looking at the hooks, I'm assuming it fits on behind the rear seat while up, as the hooks fit quite nicely with the cargo net hooks... the top bit however has two prongs that extend out, and I have nothing on my roof lining to match up with it!

Do you still have yours snwtoy? Is it any different in appearance to mine? Thanks for your help!

I'm not aware of any hooks for the in my GTT.... 8O

I'd love to get a cargo net for the boot - where can you get them from?

Trademe, wreckers, lol...

Partnumber on ToyoDIY for the one that holds stuff to the boot is 63434B. Because it's a optional extra part though for a nun-current vehicle, it's likely to be BLOODY expensive. 8O Best bet is second hand I guess...

As before though, I can't see one for the one that goes between the seat and boot though...

I'll have to go digging through the garage (aka photo studio now) to find mine, so that's not going to happen tonight!

I did look at the ceiling of my GTT and can tell you there's nothing that looks likely as an attachment point anywhere on the ceiling, either behind the front seats or above the rear seats...

There's mouting loops behind the strut towers, just under the rear side windows, and along the inside of the rear, underneath the access to the rear light bulbs.

I just spoke to my brother and he said that he's seen one fitted to a Caldina before and it had little hooks on the roof, which were clipped into the headlining.

That's a cargo net, code 63434B Cargo rack according to ToyoDIY... it's different, trust me.

This one separates the boot from the rear seats, code... not a clue.

Well, I've tried, and I'm coming up blank so far... guys, can you both please have a look at the ones you have (assuming you still have them), and whether there are any additional bits either with it, or already mounted in the car? If it's in original packaging etc, any details on this would be awesome! Cheers!

Thanks to Kiwi-Corolla, I've made an inquiry with www.amayama.com, a supplier of OEM parts to the manufacturers... fingers crossed!

Haha, got woken up early by somebody crashing around in the kitchen. Once I wake up there's no chance of getting back to sleep again.

Alas, amayama couldn't help me, as they go on what is on the Toyota database

So I had another think about this net, and another look at the net... should have realised it's not OEM... so I did some searching on the net, and came up with this:

Image, which looks pretty similar, so I've flicked them an e-mail... keeps me entertained I guess.
