Hey all, trying to figure out what to buy next. Long story short the Mark II is gone burgers. Where do I go from here? Just wanting some pointers and different ideas as I tend to get tunnel vision at times.
$14-17k to spend, looking at getting two mobiles.
Car one is for the Mrs:
Auto daily
5 Dr Hatch
Post 2000
Boot big enough for a kids buggy
Suited for round town, sub 60km/hr
Looked at Vitz but are too small, Corolla is more the right size, Runx or GL is looking about right at this stage. What else is out there?
Car two is for me:
Auto/Manual
Mid size sedan, wagon or larger (not a ppl mover or van)
Possibly something suited more for the occasional weekend away
Prefer post 2000
Used mainly on the weekends (but not a toy)
Would like something with a little kick but sensible enough to cart the family round in.
So many options here, been looking at: Caldina, Euro R CL1, Mazda 6 or Accord (wagons), V7 WRX wagon, Celsior, Camry.
Its been a while since I seriously looked at euros, am I missing out on anything there?
3rd option is just get one nicer car that sort of can fit both needs - maybe later model (auto) Mazda 3/6, Civic?
So, let me know what I should go test drive and what you might have for sale that might fit our needs.
Another 'what to buy next' thread.

the boot looks pretty descent in the TM listing i recon.
Surely someone makes roof boxes etc.
206KW in a FWD corolla would be pure lols everywhere, the fuel thingy is a 3.5 so not toooooo bad either
For you a BP 2004-08 legacy. Got to be about the best looking wagon on the market, plus the single turbo ones are pretty quick.
1983 Mitsubishi Starion
1995 Subaru legacy GT SW

Will take a look. Sister (no pictures sorry guys) has a 3.0R, although everyone else seems to rave about them it just doesn't seem that awesome to me. Perhaps a manual might help?

Sledging can be great fun, decided to look into these further. Nothing local sadly so will have to check some out in Auckland in a couple of weeks.

Mum/Dad/2 kids and dog reasonably comfortably. It's cheap to run, nothing to maintain on it, CVT.
I thought for a minute you were making up words. A quick look and it seems to tick a few boxes, nice work. Will add this to the list to take a look.

Should have mentioned I only enough garage space for two. 2x4 = 8 seater, people mover?
