Surely that's just a poor FT86 photoshop job though?

Doubt we'll see a Supra that lives upto the reputation of its heritage. Though Toyota did re-trademark the Supra name a while back from what I've heard.

It's not THAAAT difficult to build a bulbous overweight GT coupe, I'm sure they'll manage it just fine.

The GTR is a fine example of something with a big bulbous ass. Its more how reliable and over engineered the car was. If its anything like the 86 and Toyota's attempt at sports, then it'll handle great but have the acceleration of a dying giraffe.

Its true, they do have a very bulbous/curvy rear end, but overweight compared to what? I thought that it was a very similar weight to all of its "direct competition" of the era? and even lighter than a couple too.

I predict a 4wd diesel hybrid sports car that will wipe the floor with its competition.
Look at BMWs diesel engines, Toyotas hybrid racing....

Hell no, 2L-TE. Would do great in Le Mans. Pull in, fuel up, replace head, away you go again.

Variable Vein Turbos running off either side of V-6 with regenerative KERS running off the brakes something along those lines would be nice.

Toyota already have KERS tech in place and have run that system on an old GT500 Supra at the 09 Tokiachi 24 hr race which of course it won.
