Just a Celica with 4 doors really, or a Corona with different lights.

I had an ST202 version for 5 years. Aside from waterpump, clutch (both inevitable) and brushes in the front window motors it was bulletproof - and I drove the bejesus out of it (well serviced though). Sold it about 6 years ago, carjam says it's now done around 260kms.

That looks like it's had a hard life. Ad seems a bit contradictory:
Car has never been thrashed or raced because I am a poor uni student and cant afford petrol or tyres..

Has had regular oil changes and has recently had a NEW radiator installed.
Has had over 2k work done in the past 4 months (with reciepts)

It's superstrut so extra balljoints/bushes etc to wear. Price seems high.

Get it cheap enough, convert to EXIV touring car spec?

Find out what the 2k was at least, and bear in mind that 2k spent doesn't mean the car is worth any more

awesome :) would love to have an st205 in carina guise

mentions upper balljoints

when you wear out a superstrut arm and keep driving on it, there is so much caster freeplay that the wheel and entire assembly tugs against the tophat and balljoint turning a $300 superstrut arm replacement into a $500 per side job with new mounts, combine that with $100/hr labour and an oil change and his new radiator/coolant and theres your 2k
