My 4age 20v BT makes a screeching sound when revving/accelerating/downchanging. It sounds like it is coming from the alternator.
Has anyone had a similar problem or know what could be causing it?

Sounds like a loose exhaust guard or something like that rattling somewhere. Lie on the ground and have another listen from underneath while holding the revs at the noisy spot.

Can you see any black around where the manifold bolts on to the head? Almost sounds like an exhaust leak

Alternator bearing? Is the alternator bearing pulley slightly shinier than the other pulleys?
