Builder/insulation technician wanted for smallish job.

Post by FST4RD »

Need a builder for a smallish job... Most building companies I've talked to won't do it due to the size.
All I'm wanting done is for someone to lay black polythene down on the ground and pin it under our house. The house is on piles and I've seen some decent sized chaps get under there.
Anyone experienced in this wanting to do this on a spare weekend, after work? Cash in the hand.

Yeah not really my bag, i'd do it, but only on my own house. I spend as little time as I can under floors, not fun.

Just get under there yourself

yeah i used to do this back in the day. Got sick of having to dig out under peoples houses. How big is your place? Are you just trying to stop a draft from underneath? Could be keen. Headed up your way shortly.

House is about 110sqm, so not overly big. Trying to stop damp rising up from the ground. Did this at our last place and it made quite a difference.

I didn't do it at the last place, a builder did, but that was before the quakes.
It's cheap enough to buy though.
Must be enough room under there though, they replaced 2 per and then tied all of them to the house after the quakes.
