I don't know of any that have been put in a GT-FOUR. Turbo Altezzas are common enough.
The reason you wouldn't put one in a GT-FOUR is because the GEN 5 blocks sit upright where the GEN 1-4 3SGE and GEN 1-4 3SGTE are lent over quite far. Oil drain issues and other things I'd assume.3

EDIT: Fixed engine generations

Which 3sge beams engine are you talking about dskd? Altezza beams engine is gen 5, MR2/celica/Rav4/caldina beams engine is gen 4. The gen4 beams is single vvt-i, and is a slant block, the gen 5 dual vvt-i beams from the Altezza is upright.
Putting the beams heads on the non-beams blocks isn't a bolt on job, oil/coolant passages don't line up, then you also have the fun of crank triggers etc to deal with.

And there is no gen5 3sgte, the st215 caldina got a 4th gen 3sgte, which got different manifold/injectors for the st246w.

Seems like a lot of work & $$$ for possibly very small gains to me. At the end its still only a 2L turbo, only thing you have gained is vvt-i, which is probably not going to make that much of a difference on a turbo motor with a correctly sized turbo.

The same money thrown at a turbo upgrade and aftermarket ECU on the gen3 would probably get you more useful gains. Or get a gen4 3sgte and bolt that in with very little work required if the gen3 has gone bang. Just replace the rods and pistons on the gen4 first if you are going to beat on it.

we are restricted to a 34mm air intake on the turbo so every gain counts and want hp and torque from as low as possible

the describes everything on a race car

If you were thinking the Red Top Celica 3SGE then yes, I've seen a few turboed in MR2s.

in currently building an st205 rally car with a 2.2 5S bottom end with a black top altezza head. PM me if you want to talk about it more, I dont really get on here much these days. I started a build thread but there isn't much on it and it hasn't been updated in a long time.
