Hi guys
Just bought a 2007 Toyota Vanguard.
I've replaced the Japanese head unit with one off Trademe. It works great, but i havent got the reversing camera working yet.
Anyone got experience wiring in the factory camera? It doesn't seem to have an RCA output, there are 4 wires instead and I'm not sure which is which. If I can't get it going I'll just buy one off eBay but thought I would see if i could get the factory one working.
Cheers

Re: Vanguard Reversing Camera
Factory camera might be NTSC, check your headunit can deal with it before you start cutting!

Re: Vanguard Reversing Camera
Toyota cameras run off 6V (yes, weird), thus you will need to get 6V from somewhere. In past I built a simple 6V linear regulator based on LM7806, small heat sink, resistor and a cap.
Re: Vanguard Reversing Camera
We have adjustable regulator at work that we use to feed the camera power.
You need to hook it to the old headunit and work out which wires are 6V and earth,
and power them and hook the other two to an RCA plug to connect to the new unit.
