Hi, it's been a while.
Having trouble with excessive black gunk on the intake of my 1kz prado - internet research has said that EGR + Crankcase Vent Oil Vapor = black sludge.
I could block the egr, but i'd rather not if i don't have to, so the other option is intercept the oil vapor from the crankcase.
Had a look on trademe and theres a bunch of cheap catch cans but i'm trying to find one with filtering/baffles etc etc etc
Does anyone have and reasonably priced cans they recommend? I'm not racing (it's a prado) - so i don't need top shelf, but want something that will actually do a half decent job.
thanks

Re: Oil Catch Can
I ran a cheapie for a while, i found if you fill the can and even the inlet\outlets with steel wool, the stuff thats full of holes and is quite thick and abrasive, is enough to catch the oil like a good one with baffles and screens, if you want to save a little cash on a cheap one?
Re: Oil Catch Can
I've heard a lot of good things about the ProVent ones for diesels.. pretty pricey though (around $400 for the whole setup).
