Re: Caldina GTT no overdrive

Found this picture online and comparing it with your schematic, is it the black 2 pin sensor pointing right at the camera just below the Mount bracket? Thanks for your time

Re: Caldina GTT no overdrive

Just thinking, it must be faulty sensor, if I start the car from cold and drive it, it won't go into O/D for the whole drive, after 15 minutes the O/D light begins to flash (as per what you posted) . Logic says the trans won't be going into O/D as it thinks the trans oil isn't warm? (due to the ...

Re: Caldina GTT no overdrive

Ahh beauty thanks fivebob

Shouldn't have overheated driving along the motorway? If I was to test the resistance across the sensor it should be between 79 and 156 if it's ok? Is the sensor easy enough to access?

Caldina GTT no overdrive

Hi, my 97 GTT just started playing up today, was driving to work all good and the O/D off light started blinking. I was in O/D at the time and it was driving fine. After turning the car off and driving it again it won't go into O/D. Just sits in 3rd. It still drives perfectly thorough the first 3 ...

1NZ-FE high cold start

I have a Fielder with a 1NZ engine, on every cold start the revs jump up above 2000rpm, usually between 2100-2200rpm.

This sounds odd and I cant imagine is good for a bone cold motor. Is this normal? or is there something I should be adjusting or replacing?

Thanks,

The rear lower arm is adjustable on a cam bolt on jzx, it should have plenty of adjustment if you arent really low.

Good place to start is

BC Coilovers
Prothane bush kit throughout
Adjustable Panhard rod
Aftermarket or shortened Caster arms
AJPS thread in rack spacer or similar w/ PS steering arms

Theres definately more extreme options but this setup works pretty good!

I have been drifting for a few ...

Yeh it being out of alignment definately sounds like what it is, I tried loosening off the mounting screws, although they are mounted to a flat parcel tray but that didn't help.

Ill take them out and try get them swapped for another pair,

Thanks!!

Theyre flat on my parcel tray and securely fastened to it,

Theyre just running off a new 50x4 Panasonic headunit, the noise happens at any volume, I dont listen to it excessively loud.

Yeh definately the speaker, if I apply a little bit of weight to the main cone while its playing the rattling stops and it sounds good.

6x9's Rattling from new

I bought a pair of Alpine SPJ 6x9's a couple of months back and installed them yesterday.

When I fired them up the voice coil(i think) is rattling really bad with bassy songs.

They were brand new but ive lost the receipt, so I dont know if paralell will do anything about it.

Is there ...

Sorted, Problem is the exedy organics have waffled steel plates between the pads. making them too thick for the setup they use with the autoclutch ones.

Theyre making me up a new centre this afternoon!

Cheers

Ah cool, thats what I was thinking.

Most likely a different slave will fix it.

Is it a possibility that the stock clutch disc is too thick for the autoclutch setup? Bearing in mind it does sometimes shift properly when ive first started the car, im not sure if this could be a problem?

Hmm, possibly overthrowing it too much,

with the car in the air, the clutch is engaging about 5mm off the floor, can that still mean over thrown?

My theory was that by putting longer rods on the slave i was using up alot of the stroke the big bore slave had, so the longe r rod was effectively ...
