After a couple of years driving a manual for work, going to an auto was such a huge improvement.

"Horses for courses..." or however the saying goes, it's no sports car but that's not what I needed. Brilliant for day to day stuff.

City driving only? Why waste time with a manual...get a normal Toyota auto and simply service it regularly.

Caribs cruised over 300k now with three transflushes and never missed a beat. If they didn't go to cvt trans for current models I would definately buy another.

Tein lowered spring set for Carib wagon

Looking at having these fitted in the next week or two, anyone else got them and can comment on ride quality/ease of getting up driveways etc?

I heard they are specific for the wagon. Really need something that can handle the occasional heavy load without bottoming out, unlike the standard ...

Get him a Carib wagon. With the change, buy him a towball rack and a decent bike

As for the VZR Pulsars, I had one before my current wagon. Got a shade under 300km on the clock before being written off and was waaaaaaaaaaay more sporty(than the auto 1600 I have now)

Some of them have a few ...

I don't like either of them, they are both hideous looking and overpriced for such old cars. You can get a whole lot newer car for the money they command. Don't make your good lady drive around in such an ugly car.
So what are you suggesting as a newer, cheaper, better looking alternative?

Personal experience...remove the part, clean around the screw holes then put one drop of super glue onto the hole and "blow" it in. Let it cure and then the resulting hole will be somewhat stronger than it was. Depending on the brand, some plastic parts are not much chop. Also some aftermarket ...
