2008 Rav4 Auto Issues
Was driving on the open road in cruise control, got to a reasonably steep hill where it started hunting through the gears (it's always had rubbish cruise control on hills), from there on it felt like it was missing a gear, either 2nd or 3rd and feels like there is excessive slippage from either the ...

Re: Toyota Blade V6.
I've read online they are a bit front heavy so don't handle as well as other hot hatches, but haven't driven one to test.

London Classic Car Show 2016
Sorry, I should have had an edit before uploading, but cbf. Not a lot of Japanese stuff there, but nice to see a 2000GT in the flesh - smaller than I thought it would have been. Honda S800, Toyota Sport 800 and some sort of old Skyline GT something (Don't think it's an R).

Re: im back..... with a new toy
Good to hear it worked, TBH I would have thought you had just thrown quite a bit of $ down the drain when it first didn't work. I'd be interested to see some photos of the GPS User Interface etc.

Might want to get your beam checked on the LED headlights, iirc they ruin it just like running HID bulbs in non HID fittings = blind drivers coming the other way.

Re: Sealant
You probably want something with a bit more flex than no more gaps. I have used this: http://www.selleys.co.nz/trade/building ... e-sealant/ but it's pretty over kill and good luck ever getting the lights out again. A clear silicone should do the job fine.

I like how you're quite happy to play with 240v but 12v is a no no.

Lots of red in Dunedin, which may explain the whole local MP's always being Labour thing.

Re: Can you afford a home in NZ? Mark II
About to buy my first home in Dunedin. 3 bed brick 1935 build but fully modern 100m2 on a 400m2 section so pretty small. Good family area of town, ....245k. Can afford repayments but I'll get a couple of flatmates in to offset costs. Got the Kiwisaver first home $5k free money and I can draw about ...

There is another McLaren in CHCH now (apparently there is about 6) He usually flys his private chopper to Dunedin for meetings but thought he would bring the car down this time.

Re: Hatchbacks
I went for a BL MPS over the Golfs mostly due to the majority of the golfs being DSG, not that I would mind an auto, but when a DSG craps out they are not a cheap fix, but as you say with a mechanical warranty that may not be an issue to you. From what I understand (I haven't driven them) a GTi /R32 ...

New clutch, oils, filters etc. Headunit in, speakers arrived today. If i'm driving something slow it needs a half decent sound system to pass the time.

ZZE122 Fielder Remote Central Locking Install
I have a remote central lock kit I'm trying to install in my Fielder. It has factory central locking, but the only key I got given is just a plane old key, no smarts. When you press the door lock button you can hear a click from a box above the glovebox called Relay Integration, if I unplug said box ...

^Accountant.
When i was poor I would do $40 at a time, but just fill up these days. Do people really value their time so little they want to do more trips to the peddy station than required.
