KYB struts and Tein springs in my AE101. Superb combination and KYBs arent too pricey. Lowest part under the vehicle is the front swaybar mounts at 105mm from ground, thats low for an AE101

Does it have the TVIS badge(or place for it) on the inlet manifold?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with aftermarket light steel or even aluminium flywheels. I have never seen one of those go bang, I have however seen an aluminium one slog out the holes where it was secured to the crank. This was a locally manufactured item that was machined out of a poor grade ...

You can put some oil inside the strut tubes if you want, if you are racing the car the inserts can get very hot. Leaving some oil inside the tube aids in heat transfer to the body of the strut and therfore better cooling.

Do yourself and your mate a favour and throw it away.
Lightening cast flywheels is like playing Russian Roulette, they have a habit of going bang because you have reduced the structural integrity to
5/8ths of f%^# all! All thats holding it together is the ring gear round the outside. I have seen ...

For your money there is a lot more suitable oils out there for your engine.
Personally I like Castrol, theres a couple of different grades of Magnatec, 5w30 and 10w30, I prefer the 10w. TXT Softec is very good as well.
But then so is GTX. Mobil One isnt the best oil in a lot of cars, and its not ...

I spent 5 hours at Link on a Saturday morning earlier this month on their
dyno. They were incredibly knowledgible and helpful, it was through their skill that I walked away with another 15hp at peak and 30hp topend.
That may not sound like much but in a small displacement normally aspirated engine ...

3mm is a good all round size for a restrictor, I think some of the Nissans went down as small as 1.8mm

You probably need a restrictor in the oil feed, try 3mm. Some of the Nissans go as small as 1.8mm I think

SMALLPORT!!!!!!!!!!!
Had them both on a flow bench playing round with a velocity probe.
The large port gets turbulence because the area is too large.. and we are talking big block chev large. Redmist has a TWR modified cylinder head that was based on a largeport but welded up so that it is smaller ...

I think you will find on a TVIS engine that it is the manifold that is the restriction. I havent had a smallport head and manifold on the flowbench as a comparison but I know the TVIS manifold isnt very nice

Actual readings between different gauges cant be compared. They all read differently, whether its because of design or gauge calibration, I dont know.
Compression tests are only useful in comparing the readings between cylinders.
I actually quite like leakdown tests but they are a bit more time ...

Passenger airbag dissable switches arent allowed in a lot of countries, Australia for example. All Peugeots now coming into NZ are equipped with switches, and so are a lot of other european cars.
Your AE111 wont have one. If you decide you really need your passengers airbag disabled, there are ways ...

Mine has revved past 8000 on one or two accidental occasions. Still factory ECU, dont think its been tweeked. Has a speed limiter at approx 200kph which isnt very difficult to hit at all :)
