The SS better not be 275... Thats the standard ST185 spec which has to be machined down to around 262.

Right?!¿

AE superstrut calipers Part #? (same as SW?)

I'm in the US and want to do a 2-piston superstrut caliper conversion on my AE92. I read that the pads are interchangeable between these calipers and the SW20's; the caliper isn't the same, is it?

edit- I see some Celicas 'might' have these calipers as well, any of these interchangeable?

Could ...

Unitech Automotive Engineering program any good?

I'm looking to get educated in the Automotive Engineering field. I'm from the US, but cant find ANY schools that offer an Automotive Engineering degree that intirests me. Since I am a New Zealand citizen, and knowing how into cars you guys are, I thaught I'd look into schools down there. Sure enough ...

Oh IC yes that may be a problem. Whatever I think fender flares on a Rolla wagon would look pretty sweet.

Ewwwww... Tri-Spokes.

Nah, sounds like you have it sorted.

factory offset is +38 so you need somewhere around +40 for 6.5" rims.

Ha I know I didnt used to like them either but after seeing them on so many sick cars out of Japan they grew on me.

I'm a little confused about that second part ...

With the right offset you can get 215s in easy enough. Dont know what offset my old mags were but 215/35/R18s fitted under with it lowered and without lipping the guards, no rubbing

Thats good news. Those wheels would have an overall diameter of about 60.6 cm, which is the same as 205/55/15s ...

Biggest tires for possible for AE92?

I need to know, what are the biggest tires you guys are using on your AE92s? The wheels I will be putting them on are 15/6.5 with a 32mm offset. I would like to run 215/50, 205/55, or something in that area. I could add up to a 5mm spacer if needed. Would it be possible (or desired) to use tires ...

I think you should still have the tach signal going to the ECU if you check out a pinout diagram. There should also be a 'IG -' connection on your engine check plug that you can test it from.

Oh yes AE92 ones will definitely fit, but what I have is the AE101 brakes and what I was told is that they will work. They are better also, no?

I just want a definite answer about if or how much of this conversion that I have can be used on my car. So what I have gathered so far is that I can ...

So are you saying I should get an AE92 conversion and swap over my disks and calipers?

Damn I wish I had that article....

One of you crazy kiwis must have done this if its possible. The guy at Whangerei wreckers insisted they would bolt right up..

Well.. I ask that because here in the states people either swap the AE82 or AE92 disks onto my car, as there are no other options, so I know for a fact those are interchangeable.

Here is the guide I followed when picking up the parts:

I have the handbrake cable.. but not the other arm. In the pic though you can see that the position of the front arm is farther forward on the AE101. Whats with that? How could it bolt up?

AE92 drum to AE101 rear disk conversion?

Picked up this rear disk conversion from an AE101 GT last time I was in NZ.
I could swear that I had read that these brakes can be swapped onto the AE92, but they look much different from my current setup..

BTW this is a wagon.
