Thoughts on brake imbalance

Was wondering if anybody had any experience with rectifying brake imbalance. Basically, if I hit the brakes hard it will pull right and lock the right front wheel. Tyres are a matched set.
I've machined discs, rebuilt the caliper slides, and flushed the brake fluid. There is no grease etc on the ...

I would recommend a compression and leakdown test. These are very common for cracking heads.

Turbo dump pipes

Is there anyone on here who can make turbo dump pipes? I'm after one for a ST165 celica, there's not much available off the shelf.

If you can provide paperwork to prove that you are having the speedometer repaired, then you can get a WOF without the speedometer. It says so in the VIRM.

In my opinion if you're not confident in what you're doing you shouldn't be doing it. Especially with brakes. At very least get someone who's replaced them before give you a hand.

I'm pretty sure they normally go in the union side of the power steer pump. Not 100% sure of their purpose, maybe like a little restrictor or something.

+1 on checking the idle speed control valve.
They get blocked up with carbon and then won't function correctly.
Should be close to the throttle body, it will have a plug, and a couple of coolant hoses (normally). Remove it, clean out the air passages with some carb clean, dry it out then refit it.

You should put the vehicle on a hoist and check the front suspension before you just start replacing components. You need to ascertain if it is the shock absorbers, the bottom arms or the links.
I did a ST205 Celica at work the other day, the customer wanted the shocks and links replaced, I ...

You can buy a new PCV valve grommet from Toyota. They're reasonably cheap if I can remember most likely less than $10.
You can test the PCV valve.
Start the engine, remove the PCV valve with the hose still attached and put your finger over the end of it. You should feel vacuum.
Stop the engine ...

Your cooling system problems could be a variety of things, but regardless the car should still start.
So if you have checked and there is definitely no spark, start by checking the resistance of your leads. Toyota's spec is less than 25k ohms.
If that is okay check your cap and rotor. Also make ...

Crack the brake pipes off at the master cylinder and undo them a few turns. Then fill your master cylinder with brake fluid. You should see brake fluid bubbling out around the threads of the brake pipes. When you get a constant drip of brake fluid around the brake pipes, tighten them back up and ...

Need help from panelbeater

Hi
I'm needing some help from a panelbeater or someone like minded. I have a problem with my gt4 celica with water entering the boot around the rear tail lights. I've tried resealing them with a silicone and also with a non porous foam, but to no avail. The water runs down the top of the tail light ...

It really depends what you want.
The 4 cylinder does make more power but it is more of a sports engine, you have to rev it to get the most of it.
There are more aftermarket parts available for the 4 cylinder beams and the turbo kits seem to be reasonably well priced.
The 6 cylinder has a little ...

WTB: ST162/ST165 celica/corona rear screen

Hi there
I'm after a rear screen for a celica st162/165 or corona st162. It needs to have the aerial and demister built into the back screen. It also needs to be in good condition, the factory tint on mine has started to peel badly which is why I want to replace it.
If you have one please reply or ...
