I'm asking this because I've just forked out for a new lsd gearbox and also a linkplus ecu to get the most out of my setup.
This will be for my fwd 4agte (ex-gze).
- First of all, has anyone found the limits of the std clutch?
- Second of all, what are people upgrading to?
I've got a gze flywheel and pressure plate in my ae86 aswell. I had the pressure plate tested (1200ish pounds) and then modified/tested again with a good increase (over 1800). This setup is using a std friction plate but has had the thin 'wafer' removed, which is sandwiched between the 2 sides (this was to make more room due to pressure plate modification).
This clutch setup has worked well with the rwd 4agze but the fwd turbo setup will be making much more hp/torque so don't know whether this will work again, so im looking into options.
Did that make sense!?
