4agze missing/no power :(

I bought a ae101 levin 4agze and its missing sometimes.
Sometimes when you start it up the revs drop and it turns off.
It doesn't have any power at all when you going uphill.
Cant fell the torque.
The person i bought it from said it might be a stuck valve.
What else could be the problem?

I could swap parts around from my silvertop like spark plugs and leads.
But how do i diagnosis the Map Sensor where is it located?

in that case take it to a mechanic.

Just wanted to know if anyone had a problem like this with their car.

I had an issue like this. The centre of the electromagnetic pulley for the supercharger had come clean off, must have come loose.

But still mechanic is in order. If you can have it compression tested and right down what he says. Loads it could be, coil breaking down etc etc

Go in the enginebay look for a small black box that says diagnosis. Open it up. grab a paper clip or any sort of wire and jam one end in the terminal TE1 and the other end in E1 (there should be some sort of labeling as a reference). Now go and turn ignition on so that the lights come up on the dash eg.oil, brake, check engine light etc. Dont start the car.

follow the easy instructions below

Count number of flashes from CHECK ENGINE light.
If system is operating normally (with no detected faults), the CHECK ENGINE light will blink continuously
and evenly about 2 times a second.
Otherwise, the light will blink a number of times equal to the trouble code as follows:
The light blinks only (.5 second ON, .5 second OFF) when indicating a number.
The light will be OFF for 1.5 seconds between the first digit and the second digit of the code.
If more than one code is stored, the light will be OFF for 2.5 seconds before the next code is displayed.
Once all code(s) have been displayed, the light will be OFF for 4.5 seconds and then the whole sequence will repeat.
The diagnostic code series will continue to repeat as long as the check connecter terminals TEl and El are connected.
When finished, remove the jumper wire.

Its that easy.
You might have to do the count a few times to make sure you have the correct codes.
Get into it and start learning how to do some shit yourself.

Some belt on the car makes a sqiky sound when accelerating i think its the supercharger belt. Could that be an issue?

Well that sounds like the electromagnetic clutch is engaging, but the belt might need replacing. Check to see if its hard and cracked.

Yes the belt is hard. Where do i get a belt from? Does repco sell them?

I still think unless you can diagnose the fault yourself, take it to a mechanic. Sure you can replace the belt, but if that's not the problem.... then you're still at square one. Ask around for a trustworthy one and go from there.

If you take it in have them time the motor to 10*BTDC as well. Timing is a big factor so you will want that to spec. Sounds like it needs maintenance items like that doing.
