My work van (not owned by me thank goodness!) has just $$% out with a cambelt issue. The belt is only about 50 000kms old and the van was serviced 4 days before.
It died as you would expect when the cambelt breaks, however once the mechanic pulled it apart he found the belt intact minus all the teeth around the crank pulley. He isn't entirely sure why this happened, there were no bolts/stones/other detritus to cause the belt to skip or seize.
Any ideas?
